MEDITERRANEAN FANTASY FESTIVAL (West Seattle) - July 16 - Performance Sat approx 11:45 Indoor Stage - Saqra's Raqs El Sehr & student group; Sat 3:45 Outdoor Stage was SaqraI have been called away on family emergency.

Sunscreen: yes. Shoes: not needed. We are performing inside the gym. Please meet upstairs in the gym building READY TO PERFORM at 11am. There are always cancellations early in the show and we may perform early so be ready.

IMPORTANT DATES   Cornucopia Days/MedFest practice/performance dates & times:

--July 6 @ 7p: Group Practice & Costuming Assistance

--July 8 @ 5p: Corny Days Performance

--July 9 @ 2p & 5p: Corny Days Performances

--July 10: Corny Days Parade (see below)

--July 13 @ 7p: Group Practice - costuming assistance for anyone that needs it.

--July 16 @ 11a: MedFest Performance

GENERAL -- Wear sunscreen at all performances. We are dancing on grass Fri & Sat at Cornucopia Days so shoes aren't required (they are required for the Sunday parade).

PERFORMANCES -- We will do both student dances and the Alahad routines at all the Cornucopia Days performances. Attend one or attend them all! Please be there and ready to do a run through at least 30 min in advance if possible. We are performing at the GAZEBO stage area by the beer garden on Railroad Ave.

Tank top/sparkley top, broomstick skirt and harem pants or leggings, coin belt.... that would pass easily. Wear all your jewelry and have fun with makeup if you desire. For more costuming assistance bring what you have to any advanced class the week before the performances or come to the Weds night practice (with whatever you do have) right before the weekend and we will finish up your look.

Remember we will be dancing in the wind. Your costume must have adequate coverage!

PARADE  --- For the parade please bring along anyone you want. They do NOT have to be dancers, but they do have to be willing to dress up. Have them wear a swimsuit or tank top and shorts (this is just a foundation for us to put things over.They won't have to wear just a swimsuit in public!) and meet at the dressing area behind the PLAZA stage (NOT the Gazebo stage) on Sunday 11am-11:45. You will probably have to park and walk in because they close the parade route. Remember to wear all your jewelry and have fun with your make-up if desired).

After we are all dressed we walk over to (or if you didn't need dressing help, we will all meet up) at NOON at about Saar & 4th (this is one block off Willis St running parallel). We will learn the easy easy easy routine for the parade while we wait there. You are probably going to have quite a bit of time to kill and will be able to wander around the event for a little bit after learning the dance but we have to check in at noon.
