AMERICANISTAN BAND...

is a 3-6 piece band based out of Eugene, OR.

Their sound features a traditional mix of instruments and sounds, including some of the truly unusual: the harmonium, the kanoon, the zurna and nay, bazouki, dumbek and tar, plus silver flute and the rich chant style of Wayne all blend to create a very exotic and lovely sound of traditional Middle Eastern favorites.

Americanistan has 2 CDs out and a new one on the way, and have played at Rakkasah and the Saqra's Showcase festival, plus being featured in several Portland, OR, cable shows. They also produced the featured version of the song: "Aziza" used in Saqra's Video series (see http://www.saqra.net/Shopping/musicvid.html)

These folks are great musicians with a clean, professional sound, PLUS obliging, funny and always on time.
