SNOW/PARTY FINAL UPDATE

NO AMERICANISTAN: Americanistan Band has been snowed in down in Eugene, OR. We had to make a final decision this morning at 7am for them to get here in time and opted for safety. (BTW, they have a new online store for their CDs... I don't have the address at the top of my mind at the moment).

MEDITERRANEAN RAQSBAND SUBSTITUTES: At this point we are assuming the snow will stop and we will be clear by party time, as usually happens here. My band will be there anyway -- we were the warm up band -- and the party is planned to go on since we have purchased and planned and all....

CHAIR ISSUE: Our rental chairs can't be delivered. We will have what we can, but we don't have a ton... we do have rugs for sitting but not everyone is comfy on the floor so do plan to perhaps bring a chair if you can. Others have sweetly volunteered to bring lawn chairs and such, too! Yay!

CANCEL PARTY?: Heck no. We'll be there! In fact we will be down setting up by 2:30 or so so this is a sure thing! Cover has been reduced to whatever you are willing to pay for a cool NYE pointy paper hat! Wooohooo! We'll still have snacks and the Midnight (Chicago time -- 10pm PST) champagne/cider toast, Chicago costume competition, performances and dancing for everyone... as per our original plans below! BYOwhatever if you want anything besides very light munchies, soda pop and your "midnight" toast... oh, and we even have a microwave if ya wanna nuke your dinner! <grin>

Troupe and other dancers, please use your best judgment in deciding to drive tonight. Additionally, do remember that this time of year you want to have warm clothing, a blanket, and snacks in your car... and plenty of gas!

Additionally, troupies, start thinking fast! Felicia had to pull out as she is stuck at the top of Cougar Mountain....
