In Summer of 2004 the dickfile.htm page was launched. It was launched because once again someone had needed help with attacks from Richard Werth (Michael Kraft, director of Raks Rafiki -- see victim's stories) and had found me by roundabout recommendation.
I finally stepped out on a limb and made a searchable web presence that one could only find if they had enough keywords that they clearly knew they needed more information: a business name, one of the many documented aliases (Michael Kraft was actually looking for information on the alias "Richert Wright" but he sent a photo that confirmed the identity of his harasser as Richard Carl Werth), one of his areas of operation/businesses... enough information to trigger finding the site.
The site stayed a simple list of documented aliases and occupations until 2007, when I decided to make more of the information available instead of waiting for someone to become a victim and answering letters on an individual basis.
The mission of this site is to present documented information about a con man and allow people to make their own decisions. I don't go looking for information. People send it to me. Therefore if there are any inaccuracies, please let me know and I will review and try to remove anything unsupportable or correct any incorrect details. Striving for accuracy.

RECAP of 9/2/09 restraining order hearing. This is here temporarily until I decide where it should be in this site. Well, the hearing was an experience. Not as surreal as the taping of the Dr Phil show, but definitely up there. Richard showed up for Ashraf's restraining order hearing on his cane with new snowed lawyer Christopher Rama Rao (of Beacon Attorneys) and haggard-looking live-in cultie Karol Hansen in tow. The cane was a surprise.... the bet had been on a walker, neck brace and clerical collar. Along with Ashraf and his lawyer we had Craig Foster (process server/officer of the court) escorting me, plus Ashraf's ex-wife, and Ashraf's friend the talented guitar artist Don Bargiano. I had nearly backed out on going at last minute after seeing the written deposition of Eve from CA. Her deposition referred to Richard saying he wanted to hire a hit man to take care of me. It really is one thing to have someone tell you someone said something like that and a whole ‘nother thing to see it notarized in black and white... my blood pressure went up and never came back down. The case turned out about as I expected. Most of Ashraf's case had to rest on circumstantial evidence because he was alone at the time of the assault and the best that we really could realistically hope for was that Richard would be put on notice to behave and not send around third-party contacts and there would be a strong record with the police in case of future injuries to Ashraf. I was disappointed we were unable to support the case with even the submission of the history of the past three emergency restraining orders in WA or the current court-ordered restraining order in CA, while he was allowed to present anecdotal character references. You always fantasize your case will miraculously prevail in a big way, but the thing to remember is that it is the "legal" system and not the "justice" system. And Dick was able to get in his usual shot about how long ago my own case took place (he left out the completely offensive scorned girlfriend thing he usually says, though)... like that has anything to negate that people are contacting me regularly begging for help. Now that was irritating to hear from someone wanting to hire a hit man to kill me! So the restraining order was not extended to one year, but the judge could clearly see something had happened and he issued a strong warning to Werth to not attempt contact (or have third parties contact) or the restraining order would be issued. Good enough to protect Ashraf and assuage most of his fears... more like a permanent order than a one year order. The WA state judges seem to have a policy to decide that in a given case there is no longer further danger or that the danger is mitigated with a stern warning and simply not extend restraining orders. I suppose that makes sense. I don't try to determine what the "truth" is in any case I am asked to help with (and I seem to get asked to help someone about every year to 18 months), but I know that Richard Werth has a documented history of violence and threatening behavior and if I am asked to help anyone I feel my first job is to simply provide documentation to their lawyer and let them sort it out. I am concerned about this Karol. My job entails working with a ton of women and I am really solid at reading body language. I was reading something that made me terribly uncomfortable -- if she was one of my students I would be guiding her towards abused or battered women's information, but I have the instinctive feeling she can't admit mistakes and can't be helped -- and that combined with my own stress over the "hit man" bit had me actually trapped in a blind hall after the hearing.... Don and Craig had already gone ahead and I got left behind with Ashraf's tiny ex-wife. I had her trying to get a cop or a lawyer from EITHER side to escort me past where Richard was hanging out in the hall between the courtroom and the outside world. The lawyers or the police or someone finally cleared them all out of the hall and they left. Everyone supporting Ashraf hung out outside the door of the courthouse chatting with Ashraf's lawyer until Craig's friend who was watching our cars came back and said they had left the parking lot. The lawyer did a really solid job with what she had to work with. I'm sure I'll be recommending her and seeing more of her in the future since brilliant Mark Kimball (who appeared with us on the Dr Phil show) has shifted his practice to all business law. This is an insomnia recap of the event. I will add to this and modify it as I remember it and re-read. Then it will be placed somewhere more appropriate in the site. |

Why why WHY say such terrible things about that wonderful man? So you want to know why this is here. Not surprising.... makes me look like an extremist I know. Nope.... I'm not a cranky ex-girlfriend as Richard likes to claim to discount people (he has even used that one referring to a man). Apparently he has also taken to telling people I asked him out and he turned me down or some such "fatal attraction" kind of thing. The dude is WAY too old for me! And he was dressing in short shorts and wearing pirate shirts all the time when *I* was dealing with him! Well, EWWWWWWWWW! Every thing on this page I have is as free of opinion and personal experience as I can make it up to this point.... documented in everything from certified letters in false names to copies of court documents. I can give you references from people willing to help you on any of the material above. At this point I am going to express my opinions and viewpoint. Simple version of my case: I had a simple business deal gone very wrong with this man 10+ years ago. I've seen him about a half dozen times live and talked to him live on only two occasions I remember. I was never involved with him in any sort of personal relationship and honestly I no longer care a whit about the whole thing, but when he was harassing me and my employers apparently for the sheer fun of trying to get me fired (he did manage to do that with 4-5 calls and letters per day to them in various names because he IMAGINED I was talking smack about him over his crazy behavior at my event where he was hired to videotape) he earned my permanent contempt. He was trying to destroy my livelihood and reputation because of imagined insults... and made my life hell for a while. He misrepresented things I said to my employers, cut and pasted together composite statements and tried to get a confederate to give them to other people in my business to discredit me.... went to absolutely wacky lengths to avoid giving me back my lousy $150 or give me my product. And as I subsequently investigated I discovered he had completely falsified his resume, made up the structure of the business he was harassing me with to the point of making up people's names as company officers and making up a big corporation with a big "legal department" ("Margaret" from "Legal" was absolutely hell on wheels... and completely Dick's fabrication) for a one man unregistered business -- he later got non-profit status to try and stop. Had I known what his documentable past included I could have completely avoided a ton of stress.... but nobody was talking... even FRIENDS who KNEW about his history of problems. Some because they were embarrassed. Some because he frightened and threatened them with legal action ... he even told one woman he would make an erroneous report to CPS if she didn't stop speaking out. I have contact with legions.... seriously legions... of people who have been mistreated by this (IMO) sociopath... businesses, friends, lovers... and they all tell the same story: they couldn't find any help when things got crazy. My mom always taught me to tell people when their zipper is down, and to help when needed if you can even if it can cause you some discomfort. I wish someone could have helped me when I was in trouble. So here I am, kind of out on a limb. But this is a very THICK limb and I am assured that this is completely within legal bounds because I have documentation on everything above. My server is also a private server and will support me if harassed... since he and his wife knew me in the aftermath of when this was all going down. And I don't spend my valuable time seeking out info on him. People send it to ME.
